WHO AM I, YOU ASK?

You may wonder how I got here.  Simply put, I was once You.  My Aunt, the beautiful woman who raised me, was diagnosed with Dementia.  At the time, we (the family) didn’t realize how bad it was.  Once we were able to get her out of her property, we went in and realized several things.  One, she was borderline a hoarder.  Her house was full of … well, her life …. her 70 something years on this earth.  Two, she was behind on all of her bills, from the utilities to the mortgage.  Three, the house was in severe disrepair.  We couldn’t even fathom how she could have possibly still have lived there all this time.  We spent the first couple months of Pre-Foreclosure trying to “save” her house.  We spent money cleaning it out. Every time we’d fix one thing, another needed attention.  We realized that living there was not an option.  

We attempted to sell the house through a realtor. The realtor came in and gave us a low-ball number (due to all the needed repairs) but still requested that we cosmetically make the house presentable (which was roughly $15,000 in minor repairs, paint and woodwork. Mind you, this didn’t cover the severe plumbing or electrical problems).  Prospective buyers came in later demanding we either lower the price or make additional repairs.  We soon realized that our Aunt wouldn’t have any money if we kept trying to “save” her house. We needed to focus less on the house and more on her health and wellness.

We ultimately abandoned the property and allowed the bank to foreclose on it.  After the fact, I began getting calls about her property.  I had several conversations with various real estate professionals, who advised me of all the avenues we COULD HAVE taken to preserve her savings, all the equity she lost, the damage to her credit and all of our peace of mind.

So now, I work tirelessly hoping to help others the way I needed help.  Im finally doing good in the world….and….I love it!!!!
